Overview
What is cycling in Chitwan?
Cycling is one of the most relaxed and rewarding ways to explore Chitwan beyond the jungle. The land around Sauraha is almost entirely flat, laced with quiet dirt roads and farm trails, so a bike lets you wander at your own pace through traditional Tharu villages, along the Rapti River, past mustard fields and out to Bishazari Lake, a Ramsar-listed wetland famous for its birds. We provide the bikes and a local guide, and routes suit everyone from casual riders to those wanting a longer half-day out. It’s eco-friendly, sociable and easy to combine with a jungle walk, canoe ride or Tharu village tour.
