How the park permit works
A Chitwan National Park entrance permit is charged per day and is valid for one day, so every day you go inside the park, for a jeep safari, a jungle walk, a canoe ride or birdwatching, needs its own permit. A small handling fee per ticket may also apply.
Which activities need a permit?
- Need a permit: jeep safari, jungle walk, canoe ride and birdwatching inside the park.
- No permit needed: the Tharu dance show, the Tharu village tour and village cycling, because they take place in Sauraha, outside the park.
